We're Back

Had the Christmas Ague?

Here's some of Doctor Andrew's tips to get rid of the claggy throat gremlins and get yourself ready for

a return to singing this Wednesday at 6.30

1. Try a glass of Whiskey - or
Clear your throat without contracting your throat area. Coughing and overusing the throat can create wear and tear on the vocal chords. The following method will protect your voice.
Sharply sniff, then swallow. Repeat if necessary.

2  Try another glass of whiskey - or
Drink lemon juice in water without ice. Squeeze a quarter of a lemon into a tall glass of water. Sip this slowly for 25 to 30 minutes. Lemon water is helpful for cutting through clag.

3. Try another glass of whiskey - or
Dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese create more clag in the throat and nasal passages.
Cutting back significantly, should decrease the amount of stuff in your throat and reduce the necessity for throat clearing.

If all else fails, I find a glass of Tullamore Dew helps.
